I really like how you incorporate the verses in modern-life situations! Well done, Mezba.

Thank you Nadia. That is one of the aims of this blog – to make kids (and other readers) relate to the verses in the modern context.

as such, this one page has been added to my internet favourites. the quote “the aim of Islamic Law is to foster a healthy community …” is something I’m adhering to. alhamdulillah, mezba, keep up the good work and do interpret the stories in the modern context. I recall at a masjid how some pious guy said “we should follow according to the 6th century during the Prophet’s (PBUH) time.” Like as if he’s saying we should literally follow what they did in the 6th century, when in fact we’re living in the 21st century.
your images over here does click to the modern times and does carry well the message to modern singles and muslims living in the 21st century. your images do clarify and spread the message, conveying a “creative form of Da’wah” like how I commented on this blog earlier on. May Allah bless you on your newfound hobby.
regards,
Taha
PS: MEZBA FOR IMAM!!!!

another plus point: this blog doesn’t even sound hysteric and makes haraam things go to paranoid extremes. and these mistakes are what i believe some old-schooled preachers of Islam make (back in the day when Islamic resources were scant and when we were immigrants years ago in Canada)

Thank you for your comments, Taha. I do believe Islam has mechanisms to “update” older rulings for use in modern context. It is a testament to its message that we can live our life according to the Quran and Sunnah in these times without contradicting the spirit of the message.

This is awesome. Is there anyway you can add a ‘facebook’ like to each post like on news sites? That way we can share particular stories with our friends/twitter followers. I’m sure there are a few wordpress plugins out there 🙂
