In one of the tafsirs it was mentioned that step 1 in fighting any sort of temptation is to seek help from Allah. Many people fighting addictions, obesity etc. can derive use of this type of dua.

That’s a good idea as sometimes it’s not so easy making personal dua so having a model will be of benefit. I should be reading more tafsir.
