And also, it helped weed out believers with little faith from those with strong faith, something very important at the start of a moment, when you want a core group of strongly committed people with you.
I cannot believe ppl are raving about this website. You are using figures to portray prophets and drawings are clearly haram in Islam. The women in your comics are not even offering purdah! This site is making fun of Islam and only ppl who love it are westerners.
Suleiman, I would encourage you read the Rules section of this website. Prophets and other religious figures are never portrayed on this website.
Also, this website is about photography, not drawing. Nevertheless, drawing is not haram. Please check the fatwa of Sheikh Ahmad Kutty of the Islamic Institute of Toronto. There is even a stronger fatwa when drawing is done for education purposes, and it is clear that it is not prohibited.
Also, I don’t understand the comment about how this blog is making fun of Islam. And the site has been recommended by people from around the world, not just Westerners (not that there is anything wrong with being a Westerner).
@ suleiman, I am a Western Muslim and I am no less Muslim than you are, so please understand Kibr is not of Islam, but adab is. Also our Wahabi/Salafi brothers/sisters believe images/drawings etc is forbidden, but the majority of Muslims don’t believe this. Ma’assalaam.

I enjoy this site very much, the visuals are very helpful in understanding the Quran even further. This is wonderful for people of all ages. 🙂
